How long have you been writing?
I started writing when I was about eleven or twelve years old. Mostly I wrote fanfictions of my favorite cartoons and books. I even branched out to poetry and was published in a poetry book when I was about twelve years old. No I will not tell you the name, it’s truly embarrassing. I published my first novel in 2015 and since that first book went live it’s been full steam ahead.
What was the most challenging part about writing The DOUBT Series?
Each book has its own challenges, but the most difficult part of the Doubt Series as a whole is creating paranormal creatures and magic users that do can do the impossible. I choose to keep my series in our world but introduce secret world that exists right beside us. So I had to make sure that each supernatural character has an origins story that can be explained in the world we know. Maintaining that balance of the extraordinary and mundane is without question the most challenging.
What do you enjoy the most about being an author?
I love telling stories, creating people who say and do the things I can only dream of. I enjoy creating characters that are flawed and complex, who don’t always make the right choices but are willing to grow. My number one goal is to entertain.
Will you write more books in this series?
Yes. The Doubt Series is actually a serial and as of now I am planning several books that take us deeper into the shifter world. I can’t give an exact number of books, because try as I might to predict what’s next I can only go where the story takes me.
Do you have any works in progress?
Right now I am working on the final three books in my military series, The Gentlemen’s League. Once those are completed I will be working on the next book in the Doubt Series, and maybe a holiday novelette or two.
