Energy from the past
There is an appreciation of antique furniture, old objects and antique jewellery. These items are lovely, but do need to be energetically cleansed, as do trendy vintage or retro clothing found in secondhand shops. The items may still retain the energy of the previous owner. The energy may be positive, such as happiness, joy, excitement, peace or calm; or it might hold less desirable energy, for example, sadness, loss, grief or depression. So be aware of any energy that you might bring into the workplace from old clothing or antique jewellery. Just make sure it is energetically cleansed first. Washing and hanging clothing outside in the sunlight for at least an hour cleanses the energy, and washing and putting jewellery on a ledge in the sunlight will also cleanse it. On the same theme, check any secondhand furniture or equipment that is brought into your work environment, especially where you have recently cleansed the energy. Wipe the outside of the furniture or equipment with a damp cloth (making sure you avoid getting moisture near electrical points).
A few years ago, the telephone handsets at the offices where I worked were regularly disinfected and wiped clean by a cleaning company representative. I’m sure it was very appropriate to slow down the spread of germs, but also it would have cleansed some of the emotional energies that had stuck to the handsets from telephone conversations, as well as the energy picked up from conversations in the area around the handsets. One of the reasons that issues aren’t always resolved is the constant reinforcement of the same energy. Each time the phone is used or a conversation is held near the telephone, the existing energy may come into play. By regularly giving the telephone a quick wipe, the past issues won’t keep resurfacing.
